On midsummer night of the 23rd – 24th of June 2007 the Gates of Satzvey Castle first opened to a spectacular new event. Enchanted visitors were carried off into a world of fantasy for a full weekend – following the slogan “Beyond the Tales”. Costumed characters of all themes breathed life into this special event and gave it a special atmosphere. The FANTASYDAYS had begun. Not just for fans of fantasy but as an adventure for the entire family.

Visitors experienced an unforgettable weekend packed with entertainment, workshops, a market and lifestyle adventure. Satzvey Castle offered a spectacular background, being one of the best preserved entrenched castles in the Rheinland area. Most of the nearby hotels were booked out pretty fast but luckily cheap camping facility were nearby. Marc Blasweiler, (Founder of the FANTASYDAYS) created this Fantasy Event that is a blend of fantasy, film, Middle Ages, convention and entertainment.

This was the complete program of 2007:

A big Fantasy Market that surrounded the entire Castle. Here one could purchase everything from an antic bow to rare collector’s items and all kinds of Fantasy Garments.

Altogether 5 bands played live during the Event entertaining young and old alike.

A breathtaking stunt show performed on the central stage by Defcon Unlimited.

Entertainment Theatre performed by the well-known RING-STARS and their new play “LITTLE EARTH”.

The “Magic Pan Show”, a musical surprise in animalist attire.

The EVIL FLAMES presented their acclaimed Night-Fireshow utilizing the entire Castle area.

Very popular was the Walking Act “Wolfbrothers” that enchanted the visitors in over 3 meter tall costumes.

A costume competition with different themes followed by an award ceremony.

Various workshops including sword fighting, acting, camp life and the art of fighting.

Lectures on the topic of Fantasy by divers authors and editors from Stefan Servos to Robert Vogel.

The breathtaking magic show “Mystica” performed by the magicians (F)linke Finger.

A lot of „Fantasy“ camps, artists and craftsmen as well as extravagant decoration.

Entertainment and games for families with children such as childrens make-up, magicians, walking acts and more.

A charming atmosphere created by the loving detail put to the decoration.

Tasty foods varying from taverns to inexpensive Fingerfood.

A big party and night camp coming alive after dark with disco and DJ.
